Chas Roberts gives back to its communities in many ways, but perhaps the company’s most prominent giving program is its sponsorship of the Cool Play AC Giveaway, a contest it developed in 2009. Each year, Chas Roberts gives away air conditioning & heating systems to deserving families in Arizona and New Mexico. Winners are selected based on their stories of need. The winners of the 2012 contest include:

• A Phoenix couple with health problems has been living without an air conditioner for seven years. They run the Great Dane rescue of Arizona from their home, taking care of multiple rescue dogs. This couple received a Goodman brand Phoenix air conditioning and heating system.
• A Tucson family living without a properly working air conditioner since the mother was laid off from her job nearly two years ago received a Carrier brand heating and cooling system.
• A New Mexico single mom and her three young girls were living with a broken cooling and heating system and now only had a floor fan to keep cool. This lucky family received a Carrier brand heating and cooling system.
  As a family-owned and operated business, Chas Roberts looks forward to this contest every year as a way to give back to the communities that do so much for the company.
