Phoenix, Ariz. (February 21, 2013) – Chas Roberts Air Conditioning & Plumbing has been named a finalist for a 2013 IMPACT Award from the Greater Phoenix Chamber of Commerce. Chas Roberts is proud to be in the company of other outstanding companies that have also been named finalists for a 2013 IMPACT Award, including American Express, the Arizona Diamondbacks, Cancer Treatment Centers of America, Goodwill of Central Arizona, Grand Canyon University, Mountainside Fitness and Sundt Construction. These awards celebrate the impact outstanding companies have on the Valley’s business community and economy.
Chas Roberts is a finalist for the Chamber’s IMPACT Award in the category of Response to Adversity. Under the leadership of Sissie Roberts Shank, Chas Roberts successfully weathered the economic downturn and has come out stronger on the other side. “Managing the resources of the company during the good times was critical,” said Roberts Shank. “Even when we were enjoying the good years during the construction boom, we never expended our resources on things that added little or no value to the products or services we provide.”
The company is the largest residential HVAC provider in Arizona, servicing individuals and new home builders throughout the Phoenix area, Tucson and the Albuquerque/Santa Fe area. In 2012, the company added plumbing services to its residential and commercial offerings. A large part of the company’s success is due to its focus on customer service. Because of its depth and breadth across the state, Chas Roberts can offer customers unique benefits: a local call center staffed to make appointments or to answer individual questions; a website, ChasRoberts.com, where customers can make appointments 24 hours a day; and a network of warehouses across its service area so that customers can be serviced quickly.
Chas Roberts also makes it a priority to invest in local communities. Every year, the company sponsors the Cool Play AC Giveaway through which they provide new home cooling and heating systems for families in need. Chas Roberts also has a long history of supporting schools and athletic programs for youth.
In previous years, Chas Roberts has been a finalist for the Better Business Bureau Business Ethics Award; ranked in the Top 5 of Arizona Business Magazine’s Ranking Arizona listing for four years; named Most Admired Company in the privately-owned business category in Arthur Andersen’s Arizona 100 list; and named by the Phoenix Business Journal as one of the Top 100 privately held companies. Winners of the IMPACT Award will be announced and honored at a May 14 luncheon at the Arizona Biltmore Resort & Spa.
