(February 5, 2017) – Chas Roberts gave Executive Council 70 something to stand up and cheer about. In January, they made a $50,000 donation to this group of local professionals who are dedicated to organizing fundraising activities for local charities, including Phoenix Children’s Hospital. Originally formed in Phoenix in 1972, Executive Council Charities, a 501(c)(3) non-profit corp, has 70 Active and 250 Life Members. These respected pillars in the community have now been assisting youth organizations for forty-five years plus. Executive Council Charities is a 501(c)(3) Arizona nonprofit corporation dedicated to helping youth groups and causes.
Chas Roberts A/C & Plumbing is a family owned business with deep ties to the Phoenix Community. Rachel Stiak, Director of Marketing at the HVAC company says the company put a lot of thought into this donation and where the money would go, the majority of which will go to Phoenix Children’s Hospital. “We love what The Executive Council does for local charities, so when they approached us for a donation, we knew it would be going to a great place of our choosing. Giving back to Phoenix Children’s Hospital is very important to us at Chas Roberts and we’re so happy to be in the position to help them.”
Donations like this one from Chas Roberts have had a great impact on Phoenix Children’s Hospital, through the Executive Council, which started working with them in 2013. The entire 4th Floor Playroom is named for the council, when a $500,000 pledge over 5 years was made that year, culminating in 2018. This playroom is a vital part of the hospital for children and parents when they are awaiting a surgical procedure.
In addition to Phoenix Children’s Hospital, The Executive Council supports more than 60 youth charities in the community and allows their donors to choose where their money is directed. The $50,000 donation by Chas Roberts is just one example of many generous donations from companies all over the valley.
