When Phoenix air conditioning is on full blast, it always seems that women feel the chill while men remain warm and cozy. It’s not just a coincidence; it’s science! Women tend to be more sensitive to changes in temperature for physiological reasons like lower hand temperature, higher core temperature, and less muscle mass than men. Women have more constricted blood vessels than men, which causes them to be sensitive to the cold. Men also tend to weigh more than women, which helps them generate heat and keep from getting cold.
