Incentives on new HVAC systems: When purchasing qualifying equipment from Trane receive 0% interest for 36 months or 5.9% APR with custom payments of 1.75% when financing a new HVAC system, plus up to $1000 in trade-in allowances (through December 31, 2013).

Federal tax credit for energy-efficient equipment: The federal government is offering tax credits of up to $300 for installation of a more energy-efficient unit – but it must be installed before the end of 2013.

Energy company rebates: APS residential customers who replace an existing A/C system could be eligible for $270 in APS rebates, and APS estimates that upgrading equipment could save a homeowner $180 on their annual cooling costs.​ SRP customers are eligible to receive a rebate of up to $400 back for installing an energy-efficient A/C system.

Energy-saving ideas: Being smart about using and taking care of an HVAC system could result in financial savings. Replace filters at least once a month. This short video shows how to do it. Turn down the temperature on the heating unit just a couple of degrees can lower your winter heating bills. Installing a programmable thermostat allows for setting the thermostat at lower temperatures when no one is home.
