• Chas Roberts Air Conditioning was founded in Arizona in 1942 by Chas and Alice Roberts.
• The Chas Roberts name is on every unit installed by the company.
• Chas Robert's son, Chuck, took over managing the company in the 60s and provided the vision for future growth by streamlining its services and focusing on residential development and new home installations, which became an enormous part of the business. By the end of the decade, Chas Roberts Air Conditioning became the dominant new construction air conditioning contractor in the Phoenix area.
• Expansion across throughout the Metropolitan Phoenix area occurred in the 80s and 90s, and in 1991, its Tucson office was launched. Currently, Chas Roberts Air Conditioning has seven locations in the Phoenix area, and one in Tucson with more than 1,000 employees.
• In 1999, ownership and management of the family-owned business passed to Chuck Robert's children, Don Roberts and Roberta Roberts Shank. The business has expanded into custom home building and tract home installation. Today, the business is managed by Roberta Roberts Shank and continues to grow, primarily through the expansion of its Replacement Division.
• Through a partnership with Trane, Chas Roberts Air Conditioning has become a top dealer for the manufacturer. Trane has named Chas Roberts Air Conditioning its top Arizona dealer for ten consecutive years.
• In 2007 Chas Roberts expanded its call center to be the largest call center of any other HVAC dealer in Arizona, with more than 50 employees answering calls 7 days a week. The center handles more than 40,000 calls each month.
• Scheduling an Appointment: Customers can conveniently schedule a service appointment on-line at www.chasroberts.com.
• Training: Chas Roberts requires that its service technicians receive a minimum of 100 hours of training each year, and offers the training through Chas Roberts University, ensuring that technicians are knowledgeable and providing the right support to all customers.
• Custom orders: Chas Roberts has a complete facility for producing customized HVAC units and specialty parts on demand, as the home owner needs, and are generally ready in a matter of days, not weeks as with others.
• Accessibility and Convenience: Every Chas Roberts van is thoroughly stocked, making parts easily available or within a short distance due to our hundreds of stocked warehouses.
• Ranking Arizona has named Chas Roberts the top Air Conditioning Service Provider for the past five consecutive years.
• The Better Business Bureau of Northern and Central Arizona has named Chas Roberts a Finalist for its Business Ethics Awards.
